Every season is magical at Rotana as nature flourishes in its own spectacular way; turtles awaken from their winter sleep, avocados and khaki fruits ripen, baby rabbits and new born lambs run across the flourishing fields and the almonds start to blossom.
Winter
Visiting Rotana in the winter is a magical and fascinating experience. At this time of the year the finca shows all of its inner glory and reveals its carefully hidden secrets. In the quiet countryside, fields get covered in a sheet of white and lite pink flowers as almond trees start to blossom. Thrushes emigrate to La Rotana from the cold northern countries in search of the warmer weather and fill the air with their beautiful music.
La Rotana gets filled with peace and harmony. Guests enjoy tranquile long walks through solitary country trails or practice their swing in our carefully kept private golf course while others treat themselves to relaxing massages, facial treatments or our sauna. Afternoons are spent in warm and cosy rooms with crackling fires that fill the room with a warmth and beauty.
Autumn
The mild autumn weather offers the perfect occasion to enjoy nature walks and country trails through La Rotana's hill side and untouched forest areas. The surrounding area offers a wide variety of beautiful countryside trails which lead through orange tree fields, rivers, waterfalls, natural miracles and enable walkers and nature lovers to visit hidden monasteries and admire unique views. Turtles can be found everywhere, and an astonishing green and red coloured autumn vegetation blends with the bright colours of the now juicy and ripe oranges, lemons, apples and specially figs to be found on innumerable trees scattered all around La Rotana.
It is also an ideal season for those who seek the beach and warm sea water temperature, and prefer to avoid the hotter and more crowded high season summer months.
Summer
Experiencing the summer in La Rotana is enjoying Mallorca's high season from a different angle. Away from it all, from the crowds, the noise.a place the masses haven't even heard about. Secluded in a green oasis with many swimming pools, ponds and natural springs, the valley of La Rotana offers a refreshing place to spend the hot summer months.
Summer is also the season when the vine grapes are harvested to produce La Reserva Rotana's fine house wine. A wide variety of ripe fruits such as lemons, avocados, almonds, cactus fruit, cherries or medlar fruits can be hand picked directly from the trees to be found scattered all around the premises.
La Rotana is found in the most remote part of the island, and within 10 to 20 minutes drive one can find the only virgin beach left on the island, or discover enchanting little sand bays hidden from most tourists.
Spring
Experiencing spring time in La Rotana is wonderful. The lush green fields get covered with red poppies and white daises, almond trees in full blossom proudly present their new pink flower dress; new born lambs lay beside their mothers in the high grass, baby rabbits hopping around every bush; the pheasant and the peacock claim their brides, and the donkeys call echoes down the Rotana valley. Much more discrete.a mother hen guides its off-spring to the terrace grill on her daily routine to enchant the guest to share a piece of bred with her.
A pleasantly fresh spring breeze warmed by the first continuous sunny days quickly awakens the turtles out of their winter hideouts, and a wonderful explosion of life appears from every little corner of this oasis of green tranquillity.it's a magical time at La Rotana, inevitably forcing ones mind to leave any daily routines far behind, and easily unwinds any stressed souls to simply enjoy every beautifully slow minute of this natural spectacle unfolding in ones private garden.
